FAQs

What are the best shoe trees for dress shoes?

Cedar shoe trees provide great all-around support for your shoes. Wicking away moisture, sweat and odour, maintaining the shape of your shoes and preventing creases and cracks in the leather.

How should boot and shoe trees fit?

You should aim for a snug fit without any excess pressure on the shoe. Slide the shoe trees into the shoe, adjusting as necessary to ensure they reach the heel of the shoe.  You can use shoe trees in boots and vice versa.

How long should shoe trees be left in shoes?

Leave them overnight or if you can, for 24 hours, this allows plenty of time for the shoe trees to work their magic. Wooden shoe trees will wick away moisture while preserving the shape and structure of the shoe.

Will I need shoe trees for every pair of shoes?

Not necessarily, as you rotate through your shoes during the week you might need one or two pairs as we recommend leaving them in for 24 hours. Remember you can use shoe trees in boots and boot trees in boots so there’s no need for multiple trees for different shoes. However, using boot trees will help maintain the shape of the boot uppers.
